International Rhino Day

(Green Renaissance)

Every year, the 22 September marks International Rhino Day.
This year, in South Africa alone, 282 rhinos have been killed by poachers.
Just last week, after witnessing it's mum being killed,  3 WEEK OLD baby rhino was slashed over the head by poachers and consequently died.
This barbaric behaviour needs to be stopped.
Lets all take a stand and fight rhino poaching.

There are many organisations that are dedicated to combating these crimes, 3 of which are listed below.

Any help, regardless of size, makes a difference.

Lets stand together and save our rhinos!!

Fashion at the 2011 Emmy Awards

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was held on September 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
The very glam affair honours the biggest names in TV but more importantly is a show case of beautiful (and at times, not so beautiful) designer gowns, dazzling jewellery and fabulous heels.
Somehow, I felt this years fashion was less than impressive.
There were lots of 'oh that's pretty' kind of dresses, but nothing different, risque or out of this world wow.
Red seems to have been the colour of choice with numerous actress's donning red gowns.

Here's my pick of the nicest and least favourite dressed actress's

One of the nicer dresses had to be Lea Michele's Marchesa gown.
The detail on the sleeve as well as the shape of the back was magnificent.
Her minimal accessories and simple hair made the outfit look efforlessy glam!!

Somehow Emily Blunt manged to pull of Tulle, Sequins and Ruffles in this Elie Saab gown.
Love this look!

How fun is this dress? Heidi Klum was one of very few who opted for a shorter dress.
Love the clour and the detailed hem. Beautiful!

Really really pretty Kate Winslet. So simple yet so glamourous!

I usually love Katie Holme's style, but here, she got the 'effortlessly chic' look very wrong.
She looks like she put no effort into her outfit.
Her hair looks messy and the dress does nothing for her.
A few accessories could have made this look a lot better.

Gwyneth, your midrift is exposed.
That's all I have to say.

Lots of Leopard Print

I love leopard print and luckily for me, it always seem to be in style.
It is so versatile and can be worn nearly anywhere!

Because it is so bold, it's easy to get this look very wrong.
But, if you follow some simple rules..you will always look chic and glam in Leopard Print!!
- It's been said hundreds of times but can never be over stressed LESS IS MORE
Wearing leopard print head to toe is a no no.
- Try to keep everything else simple. Neutral colours, black and red work best with the print.
- Larger prints flatter the fuller figure and smaller prints flatter the more petite sized
- Accessorize!!! Gold and wooden bangles, long gold chains and brown belts are great ways to enhance the look

While web hopping,  I came across a few beautiful leopard print treasures that I thought I would share.
All the items are by Jimmy Choo are are available for purchase on http://eu.jimmychoo.com/collections/animal-prints/icat/animalprintsrw/

Happy drooling!!

I'm in LOVE!!!
How stunning is this dress that Madonna wore to the Venice Film Festival?
It's so fresh and young and flowy and fun!
Love the butterflies, the red peep toes, the red shades, the red lips...just love everything about this look.
